Big city life

Well, I think it has been a while :) After graduation, I moved to Heber city and taught Kindergarten for a year..LOVED it! Except, teaching kindergarten did not change my mind about wanting to teach preschool. After a year of fun living with the Woodruff's, I moved to Salt Lake City. WOW! Big change for sure. I have definitely learned a lot of new things.
First lesson learned: I can NEVER drive somewhere new without my GPS. I get lost EVERY single time. My GPS has come in handy many times.
Second lesson learned: I do not like driving in SLC....SCARY! But I am adjusting and learning my way around.
Third lesson learned: Know where the scary parts of SLC are before deciding where to live. NEVER live by the Bee's stadium...Weirdo's walking around every hour of every day. People throw rocks at your window and scare the living daylights out of ya. Creepy tall black guys try knocking on your door every hour for three days. Needless to say...I moved preeeetty quick.
I am now living in Rose Park...not much of an upgrade, but surprisingly it is. I am house watching for a family that are living in Arizona for five months. I love having my own space and my own home...but I am not liking the loneliness of it all.
Now that I am living in Salt Lake, I am teaching preschool....I guess you could say my dream job. I love every minute of it. The kids are sooo fun. I teach in Riverton Utah, so it is a 30 min drive from where I live. I am really loving living in SLC. Never thought I would like it here.
Some good news: I met a very handsome man the weekend before Halloween and we have been together ever since. I know it hasn't been that long since we met...but things are going preeetty well :)
His name is Ken Vuyk (which is pronounced like vike). He is from Riverton Ut. He is going to the U and will finish his Bachelors this spring in spanish teaching. He is super fun, nice, and has such a great personality. He has a strong Testimony and loves the gospel...Hopefully I have found me a good one.
We have done a lot together and most the ideas come from Ken. We have been to temple square a few times with friends, zoo lights, we went the the Nutcracker last night at the capitol theatre (it was wonderful!!), he is going home with me this weekend to meet the fam:) and to volunteer for Spencer's Wishes. I am really excited.
Well, I think that brings every one up to speed. I will try and be better....who knows :)
