Well...you guessed it. IM GETTING MARRIED!!! May 12 is the date and I cannot be any happier. I am so excited and can't wait to be sealed in the Temple with Ken! These are a few of our engagement pictures that my cousin Heather (Woodruff) Bybee took. She did such a great job and we love all of them.

Ken took me out Nov 2 for the first time. We went to the Gateway, went to a laser show, and sipped hot chocolate. I guess we hit it off so well, that we started dating shortly after. We decided to make it a tradition to go to the Gateway ever 2nd of each month...we wear the same clothes and always sip some delicious HC (Hot chocolate).  Since the Gateway has been a big  deal in our dating history...Ken decided to propose there, right be the fountains where we sat on our first date. He wanted to propose at the place we first met, but that was a a mortuary...kinda weird right?! But I would have totally loved it.

We are getting married May 12 in the Manit Temple! I can't wait!

Our sweet fort. We make forts all the time. We are getting better with them too. Probably my favorite thing to do with Ken. Nothing better than eating a divine meal, watching a stellar movie, and cuddling with someone you love.

We went to the Harlom Globe Trotters! Way fun and great sits. I don't think I have ever sat that close to the floor.

This little guy was a gift from Ken for Valentines day! I guess he knows what I like :) We named him Uncle Iroh after the uncle from Avatar the last Airbender.

Ken comes up with the best date ideas. These are just a few of his Brilliant ideas. Other fun things we like to do....go for walks around our neighborhoods, going for a drive, doing puzzles, roasting smore's over a candle, cooking together, having picnics, watching Avatar, TMNT, and psych, visiting family, coloring out of our sweet Super Hero coloring book, singing to the radio, beating Ken at almost every game we play!!...and more!

We found our first apartment in South Jordan. Its right in the middle of a beautiful Horseshoe.  I moved in about a month ago and he'll move in after the 12th. We love it. It a a one room, full kitchen, HUGE bathroom (bigger than our bedroom) and a loft. Oh, and did I mention we have a Murphy bed? For those who do not know what that is (No worries, I had no clue) its the bed that comes out of the wall. I will have to post pictures.

Well, I think that brings everyone up to date.

Big city life

Well, I think it has been a while :) After graduation, I moved to Heber city and taught Kindergarten for a year..LOVED it! Except, teaching kindergarten did not change my mind about wanting to teach preschool. After a year of fun living with the Woodruff's, I moved to Salt Lake City. WOW! Big change for sure. I have definitely learned a lot of new things.
First lesson learned: I can NEVER drive somewhere new without my GPS. I get lost EVERY single time. My GPS has come in handy many times.
Second lesson learned: I do not like driving in SLC....SCARY! But I am adjusting and learning my way around.
Third lesson learned: Know where the scary parts of SLC are before deciding where to live. NEVER live by the Bee's stadium...Weirdo's walking around every hour of every day. People throw rocks at your window and scare the living daylights out of ya. Creepy tall black guys try knocking on your door every hour for three days. Needless to say...I moved preeeetty quick.
I am now living in Rose Park...not much of an upgrade, but surprisingly it is. I am house watching for a family that are living in Arizona for five months. I love having my own space and my own home...but I am not liking the loneliness of it all.
Now that I am living in Salt Lake, I am teaching preschool....I guess you could say my dream job. I love every minute of it. The kids are sooo fun. I teach in Riverton Utah, so it is a 30 min drive from where I live. I am really loving living in SLC. Never thought I would like it here.
Some good news: I met a very handsome man the weekend before Halloween and we have been together ever since. I know it hasn't been that long since we met...but things are going preeetty well :)
His name is Ken Vuyk (which is pronounced like vike). He is from Riverton Ut. He is going to the U and will finish his Bachelors this spring in spanish teaching. He is super fun, nice, and has such a great personality. He has a strong Testimony and loves the gospel...Hopefully I have found me a good one.
We have done a lot together and most the ideas come from Ken. We have been to temple square a few times with friends, zoo lights, we went the the Nutcracker last night at the capitol theatre (it was wonderful!!), he is going home with me this weekend to meet the fam:) and to volunteer for Spencer's Wishes. I am really excited.
Well, I think that brings every one up to speed. I will try and be better....who knows :)

What am i doing now?

Oh hey! It has been forever and I appoligize.
Well, I am officially done with school. Weird! I am currently living in Enoch with Shelley's mother and father. I have enjoyed it so far. I am working and having fun. I work at GNC, its a health store. I just started and I have no idea what I am doing. I know nothing about the products and have had zero experience with sales. So, we'll see how this goes. Ha ha.
Um....what else has happened? Lynsey, my sister, was diagnosed with cancer around Easter time. Just an update cuz I am sure you all already knew that. She is doing well. She has had eight chemo treatments and has seven more to do. The cancer is mostly gone and then she'll start radiation. But she is doing well.
Well, I guess that is all I have for now. Not much of an update, but atleast I am writing something right?

Adventures to PRICE and some adventures from Cedar!!!

I went home over the weekend. First time going home in two months. Wow, it was soooo nice. I needed a break from Cedar. Anyway...it was out annual Halloween Bash. My whole family was there to celebrate. It was so good to see everyone. Everyone was dressed up. I had bright colorful crazy clothes on. I didn't have a costume so I put one together. I didn't know what I was, but my sister Jenny said I looked like a nerd and my cousin Wilford said I looked like Ugly Betty. ha ha, he was right, I really did look like her. So that is who I was, Ugly Betty. We had dinner and played lots of games. It was mostly for the little kids, but Wilford, my brother Jake, and I had fun participating as well.
FUNNY STORY!! Last week I went to the St. George temple with my ward. My roommate Kate was in the shower after doing baptisms. She left her towel outside the shower, so she had to step out to get it. She peeked out just to make sure no one was coming. Well, when she stepped out to grab her towel a girl walked in and saw her NAKED!! ha ha, I was laughing so hard when she told me. We were still in the temple when she told me and shelley the story. Not a good idea, I could not control myself. It was pretty awkward when the girl that saw her naked came out of the dressing room and the only empty seat was the one next to my roommate Kate. Ha ha. Poor girl.
ANOTHER FUNNY STORY!! Shell and I beat Kate home from the temple. When I opened the door to our apartment, I saw my roommate Mickey's light turn off and someone run into the other room upstairs. I yelled for Mickey and no one answered. So shell and I kind of freaked out and ran into our bedroom, which probably was no the smartest thing to do. We were freaking out so bad that we started yelling at each other. Shell "WHAT DO WE DO?!" Whit "CALL SOMEONE!" Shell "WHO?!" Whit "KEVIN!" (Shelley's boyfriend) Shell and I were both holding the door closed. (Like that would have done anything) Then I started to laugh really hard. Shell "WHY ARE YOU LAUGHING?!" Whit "I HAVE NO IDEA, BECAUSE THIS ISN'T FUNNY!". At this point I thought we were done for. Shelley called Mickey instead of kevin. Shell "Where are you?" Mickey "I'm upstairs" We opened our bedroom door and found our roommate Mickey standing in our kitchen. I was so mad at her. She explained that she wanted to scare Kate and thought she was with us. ha ha Boy, did she get us. I don't think I have ever been that scared in my life and I guess I handle situations like that by laughing. Weird.
well school is still going good. I just registered for spring semester. My last semester. WOW! Where has time gone? I'm so excited to graduate. But I will be way busy next semester. I will have 19 credit hours and i'll be working. CRAZY! It will all be worth it.

Adventures!

Well it has been too long since I last updated, so here we go. It's a new school year and I'm back down in Cedar City for my last year of school!! Woot woot! I'll be graduating in May in Early Childhood Development. School so far is good, I love my classes and work is going swell. Shelley is my roomie and we have the best roommates ever. They are both returned missionaries. Kate Merkley from Sandy ut returned home three months ago from Madagascar. Mickey Fillerup from Heber, returned three months ago as well from Fiji. They are amazing. I love them. I'm having so much fun this year already. Shanna is on a mission to Richmond Virginia for those that know her. She is doing so well and we miss you so much.
Funny story I must tell. Yesterday was an adventure for sure. I went to Wal*mart to go grocery shopping. I got everything I needed and checked out. Well, when they told me how much I owed, I realized I didn't have my debit card, checks, or any cash with me. How embarrassing. So she said I could run home and get it. On the way home there was a moth in my car that was attacking me and I thought I was going to wreck and die. But I didn't, thank goodness. But I got my debit card and made it back to the store. I felt soooo stupid. But it makes a good story. Hee hee.
